The Division undertakes the systematic analysis in areas such as agricultural performance and its drivers, crop and agricultural diversification, public-private partnerships, agricultural marketing, price support policies, agricultural trade, post-harvest management, women’s empowerment, and governance reforms for evidence-based policy making. The division undertakes visioning and scenario analysis to capture the effect of economic, environmental, and technological developments on the future of agriculture. It facilitates the organisation of thematic working groups on emerging agricultural policy issues and contributes to the preparation of relevant analytical and advisory documents. In addition, it supports the examination of priorities across key sectors, including animal husbandry, fisheries, cooperation, infrastructure, logistics, warehousing etc.
